Prior to the 2020-21 school year sunfish were raised in classrooms and released in the Spring to natural bodies of water in five locations of Prince George's County, MD. For the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school year the sunfish we had to modify the program while students were in virtual learning or field trips had not yet started back up.  The annual release sites have unique program offerings available to the public year round.  Release sites vary each school year. Take a virtual ride down the Anacostia River to learn about the wildlife, wetlands, boat tools, and recreational activities of the park.
