Alzina Jones is a senior at Frederick Douglass High School in the P-TECH Programme earning her associates degree at PGCC and she proudly serves as the President of the Prince George’s Regional Association of Student Governments (PGRASG), representing thousands of students across Prince George’s County. She has been passionate about student leadership since the age of eight and is dedicated to listening to student voices, advocating for their needs, and turning concerns into meaningful action.
During her campaign, Alzina emphasized L.E.A.D.: Listening to student concerns, Engaging students across all grade levels, Advocating for student rights and well-being, and Developing a stronger, more unified PGRASG. She works tirelessly to ensure that every student feels seen, supported, and empowered, and that their voices guide PGRASG initiatives.
In addition to her role as PGRASG President, Alzina serves on the Maryland Association of Student Councils (MASC) Executive Board as a Divisional Liaison, ensuring that students not only in Prince George’s but also in Anne Arundel and Montgomery counties have access to MASC opportunities and the right to advocate for themselves on a state level. Through this work, she bridges county lines to create a more inclusive, student-driven network for leadership, advocacy, and growth.
Alzina believes leadership is about walking alongside students, creating opportunities for growth, and fostering a community where all students can thrive. She is committed to amplifying student voices, sparking meaningful change, and showing the incredible potential of students across the region.
