NBCT Scholarship Application & Certification Process

Step 1: Participate in an information session for the Prince George's NBCT scholarship

Please check eDoctrina for sign up details. (Sessions usually occur at the end of the school year)

Step 2: Apply for the Candidate Fee Subsidy through the PGCPS NBCT program

Requirements include: resume, reference letters and an Essay. (Application must be submitted by the June due date)

Please Note: You can pursue National Board without the Scholarship but you are the responsible for the payment.

Step 3: Register on National Board

Create an account on National Board. Make sure you allow 3rd Party Payments in order for your scholarship to be applied. 

Pay the $75 Registration Fee

Usually Component payments are made by the state in January/February 

Download directions & other materials from the National Board Candidate Center by choosing your certification area.
