Judging has concluded for this school year!! Winners page will be available on Friday, January 24th, 2025
OHHS sought out highly motivated and dedicated community members to volunteer their services as judges for the STEM projects that our students will be showcasing.
NO PRIOR JUDGING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
In-person judges have 2 school days, and online judges have 48 hours to judge and evaluate several projects that require various aspects of the science and computer/engineering projects, including:
• Visual appearance and creativity
• The use of the scientific method or engineering design process
• The originality of the project
• The students’ understanding of what they have researched and discovered or built.
"When conducting research, scientists use the scientific method to collect measurable, empirical evidence in an experiment related to a hypothesis (often in the form of an if/then statement) that is designed to support or contradict a scientific theory."

"The engineering design process emphasizes open-ended problem solving and encourages students to learn from failure. This process nurtures students’ abilities to create innovative solutions to challenges in any subject."
