Admission to the Science and Technology Program is highly competitive. Students who are selected for the program are represents the top 10% of students from Prince George’s County Public Schools.
All PGCPS 8th graders are evaluated for the Science and Technology program.
Entrance for incoming 9th graders is based upon two factors:
Student grades in core courses (math, English, science, and social studies) for all four quarters of 7th grade and the first quarter of 8th grade.
Student performance on the PSAT 8/9.
Private school, homeschool, and ninth grade students who would like to join the Science and Technology Program need to apply for entrance and test to enter the program.
Tenth grade students are admitted on a space available basis and must compete for a few openings per year.
