Arrival and Dismissal Plan

  • Students will be able to enter the school building starting at 7:10 AM through the main entrance. Students are only allowed to be in the cafeteria until dismissal to the first class at 7:50 AM.

Student Dismissal:

  • Dismissal takes place at 2:25 PM. Students who are riding the bus can exit using the back doors (doors closest to room 112). Walkers and students who take any mode of transportation other than the school buses can exit the building using the front doors closest to the main office. Students who are waiting for vans can wait right outside the main office without exiting the building.

Early Dismissal:

  • Parents/guardians who wish to pick up their students before the day is over can only do so before 2 PM.

  • Any parents wishing for students who are 18 or over to exit the building at any time other than the normal dismissal time will need to put this in writing to Ms. Medrano (edith.medrano@pgcps.org). Any other students requesting to leave early must be picked up by an adult. All parents/guardians will be verified by Ms. Medrano when entering the school premises.

Afterschool Clubs/Activities/Sports:

  • All students should exit the school premises at 2:25 PM when buses are here to pick most students up. Should a student participate in an extracurricular activity, they should meet their coach or club advisor at their designated location by 2:35 PM. In some cases, sporting activities do not start until a much later time and coaches will develop an individualized plan with their teams when this happens.
