Hello, Hyattsville Elementary parents and guardians! My name is Jordan Duley and I am fulfilling a new position in this school. I work for Thrive Behavioral Health and will be working at Hyattsville Elementary School on a daily basis. I am a mental health therapist and complete therapy with children. Your child may have the opportunity to work with me, but you will be contacted to give consent before doing so. I wanted to reach out so you all were aware of my position. The start of a new school year can be an exciting yet uncertain time for the whole family. Due to the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, many kids are facing mental health challenges right now. In fact, 82% of 11-17- year-olds who took a screen at mhascreening.org from March 2020-July 2021 were showing signs of a mental health condition.
