Hello Scholars and Parents!

My name is Mrs. Wright and I am excited to be your 7th grade Reading/English Language Arts (RELA) teacher this school year. This is my 16th year as an educator and I am thrilled to join the Gwynn Park Middle School family.

I studied English at Howard University and continued on to the University of Maryland, College Park where I earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have loved reading and writing for as long as I can remember and spent my middle school years reading novels and writing letters and poetry with my best friend. I love how reading can open up a whole new world and how writing allows you to put on paper the words, thoughts and feelings you may not be able to share out loud.

It is my hope that you will also grow in your love for reading and writing throughout this year. I can’t wait to continue learning and growing alongside each of you!
