First, understand that while a new student may be in SchoolMax and have an ID number, it can take up to 72 hours for a student to appear in the systems to issue Chromebooks and to change passwords.
Second, students can report to either 10A (between Rooms 101 and 102) or to the library for password and Chromebook issues.
Students can change their password at idm.pgcps.org. User ID is your PGCPS username NOT your Student ID number.
Students who cannot logon to idm.pgcps.org must complete the SY24 Password Reset Request form. The password you choose MUST comply with the rules below.
After you change your password:
log off your Chromebook.
Log back into your Chromebook using your NEW password. You may be asked to enter your OLD password (this is normal).
Enter your old password to complete the password change process. If you do not remember your OLD password, click "Don't remember my old password".
Passwords MUST meet the following criteria:
Must be at least 9 characters
Must contain at least 1 number
Must not contain your name
Must not contain repeating characters/digits (i.e., apple, green, 11, 2009, etc.)
Challenge-response authentication is a protocol to confirm your identity in case you forget your password.

If your Chromebook was damaged due to negligence, your parent/guardian must pay $30 for the first incident or $200 if it is damaged beyond repair.

STOLEN: Police report must be provided or pay $200.
TURNED IN AT PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Complete the Chromebook Turned Into Previous School Statement (for Chromebooks) or pay $200 replacement cost. Copies are available at the link (print, complete and sign), in the main office and the library. Completed forms should be turned into Ms. Goslee in the Library.
Students will receive a Google calendar invite telling them when to report to receive a replacement.
