Philosophy of Education

Mr. Halliburton believes all children can learn when paired with high quality instruction and access to an abundance of literacy materials in multiple formats. Educators must place the needs of the child above all else to ensure an academic environment which fosters learning, creativity, and curiosity in a global and digital society.

LIBRARY MISSION

The mission of the Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School library media center is to equip students with the skills and resources necessary for lifelong learning, critical thinking, and personal growth. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters a love for reading, supports academic excellence, and encourages the exploration of diverse perspectives. Through access to a wide range of materials, technology, and collaborative opportunities, the goal is to inspire students to become informed, engaged, and responsible citizens in an ever-changing world.
