Charles Herbert Flowers High School senior Kingsley Nwogu took the stage at The College Board annual Forum to share how early STEM and cybersecurity opportunities are preparing him for college, careers in tech, and his own entrepreneurial journey. From mastering AP Cybersecurity to launching a STEM nonprofit for younger students, he’s showing what readiness and leadership look like in action!
Halmed Kamara and Kingsley Nwogu took the stage at the A Dream Deferred Conference as part of the session “Ignite the Future: Innovation in Action,” joining educators and national leaders in advancing equity in technology education.
The session, led by Greg Walker, Senior Vice President at The College Board, and Dr. Marilyn Fitzpatrick, CIS Program Coordinator at Charles Herbert Flowers High School, addressed the growing need to close the perception and access gap in STEM—particularly in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity. Both Students contributed a student-led perspective rooted not only in experience, but in action through The Spark Academy.
