A: Yes, you need to reapply. Please ensure that you submit your updated documents. All former employees must pass a secondary return to service eligibility screening.

A: During the application process, you can authorize our team to pull your Maryland driving record at no cost. Candidates with driving records in other states should request a complete driving record for that state. For example, a 10-year driving record in DC and a 7-year driving record in Virginia.
Q: What type of background check is involved?
A: All applicants being considered for employment with PGCPS must undergo a fingerprint background check, and a clearance must be received prior to the first day of employment.
Q: Am I eligible to drive a bus, although I had a DUI 20 years ago?
A: No, you will not be able to drive a bus with any such charge listed on your driving record.
