The 2026 Girls High School Golf National Invitational returns to the Pinehurst Resort. This invite-only tournament field will be made up of the top high school golfers across the country competing at the “Home of American Golf.” The Girls Invitational is a 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event including team and individual competition. Competition rounds will take place on Pinehurst No. 1 and Pinehurst No. 5.
There will be an additional golf opportunity for friends and family to play on Pinehurst No. 6 in the inaugural Friends and Family Shamble taking place on Tuesday, July 14.
Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor since only the best high school golf teams and individuals will receive invites based on state championship performance. The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states. Public or private. Suburban or rural. Small or large. All high school state championship teams, individuals, and their families are welcome at the Invitational.
We will be distributing all information via email and posting attachments to this page for easy reference leading up to the event. Additional FAQs can be found on the FAQ's and Contact Page.
July 9 | Practice Rounds
July 10 | Practice Rounds & Player Registration 8:00am-2:00pm at Pinehurst Resort (Main Clubhouse - Donald Ross Room)
July 11 | First Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:00am-1:00pm (Pinehurst No. 1 and Pinehurst No. 5)
July 12 | Second Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:00am-1:00pm (Pinehurst No. 1 and Pinehurst No. 5)
36-Hole Cut for the top 20 teams (plus ties) and top 15 individuals (plus ties) not on an advancing team
July 13 | Final Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:00am-1:00pm (Pinehurst No. 5 for those making the cut)
We will be hosting the Sandhills Shootout on Pinehurst No. 1 for those who did not make the cut
Awards Ceremony immediately after the conclusion of play at Pinehurst No. 5 on the clubhouse porch overlooking Thistle Dhu (weather permitting). Estimated time of the Awards Ceremony is 7:00pm (subject to weather and pace of play delays)

All players will compete on both competition courses over the 54-hole event - Pinehurst No. 1 and Pinehurst No. 5
Pairings for Rounds 1 & 2 will be announced prior to the tournament.
Round 3 pairings and course assignments will be determined based on team and individual scores from the previous two rounds.
The 2026 Official National Invitational Merchandise Store is closed
Merchandise purchased will be available for pick-up onsite during Registration day (Friday, July 10th in the Donald Ross Room at Pinehurst Resort under your player's name). We will re-open the store after the National Invitational for additional purchases.
Yardage Books are now available at a 20% discount for the tournament golf courses (Pinehurst No. 1 & Pinehurst No. 5) from StrackaLine Golf.

All players will receive custom Titleist & FootJoy welcome gifts at Registration.
The National Invitational winning team will receive a team trophy, individual medals, and a custom Titleist golf bag.
The runner-up team receives a team trophy, individual medals, and custom Titleist & FootJoy gifts.
The 3rd place team will receive individual medals.
Individual medalists receive a trophy, a medal, a tournament flag, and a custom Titleist golf bag.
1st Team All-Tournament team (1st-5th) and 2nd Team All-Tournament team (6th-10th) will receive Invitational pin flags.
AJGA PBE Points awarded to top finishers - 12 points for 1st Place, 8 pts for Top 5, 4 pts for Top 10, 1 point for Top 15.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2026 Junior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch - West Course at PGA Frisco.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2027 North & South Junior Amateur at Pinehurst Resort.
The winning team, along with the top 10 individuals, will receive an automatic bid to the 2027 National Invitational.
