The 2026 Boys High School Golf National Invitational returns to the Pinehurst Resort. This invite-only tournament field will be made up of the top high school golfers across the country competing at the “Home of American Golf.” The Boys Invitational is a 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event including team and individual competition. Competition rounds will take place on Pinehurst No. 5 and Pinehurst No. 6.
There will be an additional golf opportunity for friends and family to play on Pinehurst No. 8 in the inaugural Friends and Family Shamble taking place on Tuesday, July 21.
Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor since only the best high school golf teams and individuals will receive invites based on state championship performance. The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states. Public or private. Suburban or rural. Small or large. All high school state championship teams, individuals, and their families are welcome at the Invitational.

July 17 | Practice Rounds & Player Registration 8:00am-3:00pm at Pinehurst Country Club (Outlook Room).
July 18 | First Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:30am-1:40pm (Pinehurst No. 5 and Pinehurst No. 6)
July 19 | Second Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:30am-1:40pm (Pinehurst No. 5 and Pinehurst No. 6) *36-Hole Cut for low teams and individuals.
July 20 | Final Round of Competition - Single Tee Start from 7:30am-1:40pm (Pinehurst No. 6 for those making the cut)
We will be hosting the Sandhills Shootout on Pinehurst No. 5 for those who did not make the cut.
Awards Ceremony immediately after the conclusion of play at Pinehurst No. 6 on the clubhouse porch overlooking the putting green (weather permitting). Estimated time of the Awards Ceremony is 7:00pm (subject to weather and pace of play delays).
July 21 | Pinehurst No. 8 Shotgun Start at 8:30am. Optional golf event for friends and family traveling to Pinehurst.
All players will compete on both competition courses over the 54-hole event - Pinehurst No. 5 and Pinehurst No. 6
Pairings for Rounds 1 & 2 will be announced prior to the tournament.
Round 3 pairings and course assignments will be determined based on team and individual scores from the previous two rounds.

All players will receive custom Titleist & FootJoy welcome gifts at Registration.
The National Invitational winning team will receive a team trophy, individual medals, and a custom Titleist golf bag.
The runner-up team receives a team trophy, individual medals, and custom Titleist & FootJoy gifts.
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams will receive individual medals.
Individual medalists receive a trophy, a medal, a tournament flag, and a custom Titleist golf bag.
1st Team All-Tournament team (1st-5th) and 2nd Team All-Tournament team (6th-10th) will receive Invitational pin flags.
AJGA PBE Points awarded to top finishers - 12 points for 1st Place, 8 pts for Top 5, 4 pts for Top 10, 1 point for Top 15.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2026 Junior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch - West Course at PGA Frisco.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2027 North & South Junior Amateur at Pinehurst Resort.
The winning team, along with the top 10 individuals, will receive an automatic bid to the 2027 National Invitational.
