The 2026 Boys High School Golf National Invitational returns to the Pinehurst Resort. This invite-only tournament field will be made up of the top high school golfers across the country competing at the “Home of American Golf.” The Boys Invitational is a 3-day, 54-hole stroke play event including team and individual competition. Competition rounds will take place on Pinehurst #5, #6, and #8 courses.
Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor since only the best high school golf teams and individuals will receive invites based on state championship performance. The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states. Public or private. Suburban or rural. Small or large. All high school state championship teams, individuals, and their families are welcome at the Invitational.
We will be distributing all information via email and posting attachments to this page for easy reference leading up to the event. Additional FAQs can be found on the FAQ's and Contact Page.
July 17 | Practice Rounds. Player Registration at the Pinehurst Resort main clubhouse - Outlook Room.
July 18 | First Round of Competition. Morning Double Tee.
July 19 | Second Round of Competition. Morning Double Tee.
July 20 | Final Round of Competition. Morning Double Tee.
Awards Ceremony immediately after the conclusion of play at Course No8 (will be on the back porch overlooking 18 green, weather permitting). Estimated time of Awards Ceremony is 4pm subject to weather and pace of play delays.

All players will compete on all 3 competition courses over the 54 hole event. Your rotation depends upon which course you play first. The official rotation is either: No8, No6, No5 <or> No5, No8, No6 <or> No6, No5, No8.
Pairings for Rounds 2 & 3 will be determined based on team scores from the previous rounds.

All players will receive custom Titleist & FootJoy welcome gifts at Registration.
The National Invitational winning teams will receive a team trophy, individual medals & a custom Titleist golf bag.
Runner-up and 3rd place teams receive a team trophy, individual medals and custom Titleist & FootJoy gifts.
Individual medalists receive a trophy, medals and tournament flag.
1st Team All-Tournament team (1st-5th) and 2nd Team All-Tournament team (6th-10th) will receive Invitational pin flags.
AJGA PBE Points awarded to top finishers - 12 points for 1st Place, 8 pts for Top 5, 4 pts for Top 10, 1 point for Top 15.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2026 Junior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch - West Course at PGA Frisco.
The Individual Medalist will receive an exemption to compete in the 2027 North & South Junior Amateur at Pinehurst Resort.
The winning teams along with the top 10 individuals will receive an automatic bid to the 2027 National Invitational.
