COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Neal Tomlins & Megan Tomlins

This committee will assist the PGA Staff in the on-site Admissions Office. Volunteers will distribute complimentary daily tickets to members of allied associations and specials guests of the event as well as support the ticket system vendor.

CADDIE SERVICES

DAYS IN OPERATION: Sunday, May 15 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Caddie Headquarters - Above the Short Game Practice Area

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Ryan Overland, Philip Houchin, Andrew Haile

This committee will support Caddie Registration Sunday - Tuesday then during the Championship, this committee will be responsible for distributing towels and managing the Bag Check system. During Championship Rounds, Caddie Services Volunteers will assemble, distribute, and collect caddie bibs.

CHAMPIONSHIP OFFICE

DAYS IN OPERATION: Tuesday, May 10 - Tuesday, May 17

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Mary Husband

During the week prior to the PGA Championship (known as ‘Advance Week’), Volunteers on this committee will help staff the PGA Championship Office and support PGA Championship Staff with various office projects.

CONTESTANT EVACUATION

DAYS IN OPERATION: Monday, May 16 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Contestant Evacuation Desk - Volunteer Headquarters (Main Entrance)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: David Winters & Ed Raschen

The Contestant Evacuation Committee is responsible for ensuring the safe evacuation of Contestants and Caddies from the golf course, if necessary, during PGA Championship Week. The most common reason for an evacuation is bad weather.

CONTESTANT REGISRATION

DAYS IN OPERATION: Sunday, May 15 - Tuesday, May 17

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Ladies Locker Room - Southern Hills Clubhouse

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Todd Martin

The Contestant Registration Committee is among the first group to interact with the contestants upon their arrival to the Championship. Assembling registration packets and registering contestants for their participation in the Championship are the main responsibilities of this committee.

CONTESTANT SHUTTLES

DAYS IN OPERATION: Monday, May 16 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Contestant Shuttles Desk - Volunteer Headquarters (Main Entrance)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Jason Turner & Casey Flickinger

This committee will shuttle players in a golf cart to the driving range, so that long walks can be avoided. Volunteers must be able to operate a two-way radio and drive a 6 passenger golf cart.

CONTESTANT TRANSPORTATION

DAYS IN OPERATION: Thursday, May 12 - Monday, May 23

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Contestant Transportation Desk - Tulsa International Airport

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Emily Moreau, Jason Moreau, Robert Bresnahan, Patrick Rooney

Prior to the event, volunteers will distribute the official courtesy vehicles at the airport. After the Championship volunteers will help collect courtesy vehicles, and drive them to the main pickup location.

DISABILITY SERVICES SHUTTLES

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Tracy Robinett & Dave Kollman

Members of this committee will assist the physically challenged by transporting them via 4-passenger golf carts to and from designated viewing areas located on the course.

INFORMATION & SERVICES

DAYS IN OPERATION: Monday, May 16 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Information Booth - Main Entrance Walkway (Near PGA Shops)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Greg Roberson & Kerby Hunt

Volunteers are responsible for staffing on-site Information Booth and answering site related questions for event spectators and guests. Will serve as ‘greeters’ welcoming spectators to the event and answer site related questions for event spectators and guests.

LASER OPERATORS

DAYS IN OPERATION: Thursday, May 19 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Laser Operators Desk - Southern Hills Cart Barn (Near #1 & #10 Tee)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Kevin Redwine & Joe Starrett

This committee will collect statistical information about each contestant's shots by operating lasers located at landing areas along fairways, and near greens during Championship Rounds. Although two training sessions will be held to properly prepare volunteers on how to operate these devices, it is recommended that volunteers on this committee have a knowledge of golf, and be comfortable using technology.

MARSHALS

(Area Captains and Hole Captains will check in at the Marshals Desk in Volunteer Headquarters)

HOLE CAPTAINS: Names of your Captains are listed in your Volunteer Profile

When play is on the hole, Marshals manage gallery noise and control the crowd, reminding spectators to stand still and be quiet during player’s shots as well as gently reminding them to wear their facial covering. Marshals also assist with player movement when entering/exiting the hole, operate spectator crosswalks and enforce the grandstand seating policy. When play is not on the hole, Marshals must also protect the hole by ensuring spectators only use designated crosswalks and continue to enforce the grandstand seating policy.

MARSHALS - SPECIAL TEAMS

SPECIAL TEAMS CAPTAINS: Names of your Captains are listed in your Volunteer Profile

Members of the Marshal Special Teams will monitor specific areas of the golf course and assist with easing the flow of movement for Players, Caddies, Officials and Media in areas around the Clubhouse and Practice Areas.

MEDIA CENTER SERVICES

DAYS IN OPERATION: Saturday, May 14 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Media Registration Desk - Media Center

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Kyle McQuaid

This committee will assist the PGA Staff with the preparation of the Media Center prior to the beginning of PGA Championship week. During the PGA Championship, volunteers will be responsible for Media Registration, handling information requests, scoring updates and various other tasks. Volunteers may be scheduled prior to and during PGA Championship week.

PGA SHOPS

DAYS IN OPERATION: Friday, May 13 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Front of PGA Shops (Main Entrance)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Peggy Schroedter, Cynthia McFerrin, Carrie Zenthoefer

This committee will staff the PGA Championship Shop near the main spectator entrance. Volunteers will greet guests as they enter the shops, stock inventory for the vendors, operate cash registers or bag purchased goods, help with the fitting rooms, or assist the PGA Staff with various tasks as needed. The PGA Championship shop is an extremely busy, fun place to volunteer.

ROPE & STAKE

DAYS IN OPERATION: Wednesday, May 11 & Thursday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 17 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Pre-Championship - Southern Hills Tennis Center

Championship Week - Rope & Stake Desk - Volunteer Headquarters (Main Entrance)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Clark Andrew & Greg Ruley

Committee members will assist PGA of America staff members by installing rope and stake on the entire golf course the week before the Championship. This committee will also be responsible for tightening the ropes on each hole every morning of the Championship.

STANDARD BEARERS

DAYS IN OPERATION: Thursday, May 19 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Standard Bearer Desk - Southern Hills Cart Barn (Near #1 & #10 Tee)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Sandy Chalmers & Dane Tucker

This committee will have adult and junior volunteers. Juniors will be responsible for carrying the standards for each group of Contestants during the Championship Rounds. Adults will organize and assemble the standards as well as check-in and manage Junior Volunteers.

TEE REFRESHMENTS

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Tee Refreshments Trailer - Hole 15 Compound

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Mike Westbrock, David Miley, Tony Westbrock

This committee will distribute coolers of refreshments throughout the golf course for Contestants, Caddies and Media, replenish product and ice in the coolers throughout the day and collect them upon completion of play each evening. Another task will be to fill and replenish towel buckets with water.

TICKET & CREDENTIAL SCANNING

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Admissions Office/Scan Gate - Main Entrance Walkway (Near Main Bus Terminal)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Ellen Mabrey, Debbie Favell, Annabelle Miller

The Ticket & Credential Scanning Committee will scan the tickets or credentials of each and every guest, volunteer, or staff member who enters the PGA Championship Admissions Gates. Being a PGA Ambassador will involve engaging verbally with each guest to create amazing memories and experiences at the 2022 PGA Championship. Volunteers on this committee will display world class customer service with a warm smile, greeting guests in an upbeat, courteous and friendly manner and gently reminding guests to wear their masks.

VOLUNTEER SERVICES

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Volunteer Services Desk - Volunteer Headquarters (Main Entrance)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Holly Lehman & Lynn Redwine

Committee members will assist the PGA staff with assembling volunteer credential packets and distributing volunteer uniforms the weekend prior to the PGA Championship. During PGA Championship week, committee members will also staff the volunteer services desk in Volunteer Headquarters and act as ambassadors by assisting volunteers, answering questions they may have and selling remaining uniform items to the volunteers.

WALKING SCORERS

DAYS IN OPERATION: Thursday, May 19 - Sunday, May 22

CHECK-IN LOCATION: Walking Scorers Desk - Southern Hills Cart Barn (Near #1 & #10 Tee)

COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Sara Bailey & Claudia Abernathy

One Walking Scorer will be assigned to walk with each group keeping the players’ scores, as well as certain statistics using a handheld scoring device. A few volunteers will be present as standbys in case a volunteer needs to be replaced due to injury, frequent errors, or absence.
