History

Camp Rainbow Phoenix planning started in 2009. While planning camp, the team had a vision of creating a leadership camp that would give the youth a chance to learn leadership skills while being free to live and be their authentic selves. Another goal was to keep camp free for youth to attend so that there would be no financial barriers.

Over our many years of camp, we have been able to provide a camp experience to over 800 youth, all at no cost to any of the families.

We launched our very first camp in 2010. This camp had 7 kids that came away for 2 nights and 3 days. Camp has continued to grow each year as the demand for our program is sought by many families that appreciate the life changing experiences and confidences that their youth have learnt.

In 2023, we had youth from across Canada join camp for the first time in person.

In 2024, we are expanding camp to 2 one week sessions so that we can accommodate 150 youth.

Something that makes camp so special is that the youth can see themselves represented in our team of volunteers.
