Mr. Stern's Zoom Classroom Guidelines and Expectations
Before participating in the Zoom conferences starting on 8/14, please read the following guidelines so that you understand all expectations!
You do NOT need a Zoom account! Please do not sign up for one. Just click the Zoom link that will be posted in our Google classroom.
Make sure when you enter the Zoom video chat, you allow access to both your microphone and webcam (video). It should pop up to notify you, both will need to be on/enabled.
When on video, please make sure to check the background and your surrounding for anything not school appropriate! Remember that everyone (including me) is viewing this video chat.
Make sure to dress appropriately/follow PfISD Dress Code! (Ex: Do not wear a shirt with a curse word on it).
You will come in “pre-muted” meaning that we will not hear your voice. I will unmute each participant when appropriate (you can click the spacebar to temporarily unmute)
Speaking of muting...make sure you are ALWAYS muted...raise your hand for questions!
This is not a time to chat with all of your friends or have personal conversations, so make sure to keep the conversation “on task”. Yes...we can talk as a class like we normally do or share good things when appropriate!
I will be able to see and monitor the chat, even if it is private!
Cell phones and tablets work for Zoom as well. So if at the time of your video conference you do not have laptop access, you can use your phone or tablet.
If your computer does not have good sound, please use your headphones if you have them.
BE RESPECTFUL! You are all old enough to know what is proper behavior in a classroom, and my expectations for my Zoom classroom are no different.
