For the first 3 weeks of school, all work will be done in Google Classroom. Assignments will be given on a daily basis with some having multiple parts over several days, for example: labs.
I will follow the KLMS Zoom schedule and have a 30 min Zoom meeting every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
We will have our first Zoom meeting on Friday, August 14th for a Safety Review lesson. You will find the classroom expectations in my Google Classroom and the Zoom link for your class will be posted on the first page and in the daily lesson.
Please meet me there at the start of class time to be counted present!
I will try not to vary from that as much as possible. I will be available during class time for students to contact me in the Goggle classroom for help or clarification of the assignment.
I will follow the district guidelines - 60% major grades will be from tests, labs, and projects; 40% minor grades from Homework and quizzes.
As per district policy, late work will need to be submitted within 5 days of the assignment due date and may have a late submission deduction of 20% maximum. Do not submit unfinished late work - it will be returned without a grade to be completed.
Any major assignment with a grade below a 70% can be redone for a max grade of a 70. For tests, this will require some prerequisite work and then a retest. For labs, it is completing or redoing the incorrect or missing parts.
Homework is a valuable tool for Science. We will use homework to practice concepts learned in class, take notes from different sources, and watch videos or prerecorded lessons and answer questions. Please do the assignments on the assigned day so that we can all be in the same place!
