Our 5th graders have jumped right into learning about the major countries exploring the Americas, practicing their map skills. 

in ELAR, we've been reviewing literature circle expectations, starting The Witch of Blackbird Pond together as a class. We've also started learning how to interview and write an interview article. Our guinea pig for this first article was Zaki's story about being lost on the bus on the 1st day of ASCEND. We hope to publish later in Week 2!
