About Mrs. Jarrell

My name is Krista Jarrell and I will be your English 1 teacher this year. This is my 1st year at Connally High School. I spent most of the spring and summer deployed here for the COVID 19 response as a member of the Texas State Guard. They call me Lieutenant Jarrell, or sometimes just LT. I moved here from a tiny little town with only 75 residents called Carlton, TX. This will be my 6th year teaching. I graduated with an Associates degree in Teaching from North Central Texas College, a Bachelors degree in English and a Masters degree in Education from Austin College in Sherman Texas.

I am married (my husband is Malcolm) and have three children: Isaac (18) Matthew (17) and Kaatje or KK (16). My two boys are both in the United States Marine Corps, and my daughter will be a sophomore this year. We still have a 5 acre micro farm in Carlton where we have tons of animals and a very large garden.
