Points to note:
These courses are offered at different levels (1 to 3) to suit a range of different abilities.
It can be possible to start at lower levels and progress to the higher levels of vocational courses or T Levels.
The courses accept a range of GCSE grades as an entry requirement depending upon the level of the course.
Two year level 3 vocational courses are an acceptable qualification for the majority of degrees courses at UK universities.
T Levels are two year full-time Level 3 courses and are an ideal course if you have finished your GCSEs and want the knowledge and experience to get straight into employment, an apprenticeship or higher education.
They contain a range of components including: employability skills, numeracy, literacy and digital skills, concepts and theories, and occupational specialisms.
As part of the full programme of study, learners will complete a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days) in an industry placement focused on developing practical and technical skills. The placement will be with an employer in a real life working environment. You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on industry placement.
