Tools to help you with job ideas

• If you are not sure what job or career you want to do, or you want to reinforce that your career idea is right for you, then here are some good "careers quizzes" that might help you to create some job ideas, here are just a few:

  • NATIONAL CAREER QUIZ: complete the 50 multiple choice section and at least one of the Skills Health Checks. 

• START PROFILE: this careers website is ideal for people aged up to 18 (although anyone of any age will benefit from it). You will need to register and then log in, but it is free, and then complete the ABOUT ME section on the My Profile tab. This will generate a list of job ideas to explore.

• SACU: register and log in to complete the quiz and view your Career cloud.

• BUZZ QUIZ: this assesses your personality and based on your answers likens you to an animal that has the same characteristics. It also suggests jobs that people with this personality type often work in.

• PLEASE bear in mind that these quizzes are simply generating ideas for you to follow-up, they are NOT telling you that you should do a specific job.
