There will likely be times when you must be absent. If you are well enough to do school work, please try to keep up with what is listed below and on the Homework Page as best you can. Keeping up with math work leaves you prepared for when you come back to class. Math lessons can be accessed from home through any device. Students will learn in class how to access their Everyday Math curriculum from their iPads, but may need help still--directions are below.
Math -- On any device, log on to your school account (see below for directions). Go to Clever. Then, go to McGraw (this is a red icon) which is our math program. The largest, light blue rectangle tells you the daily lesson we are on in class. Don’t click on this rectangle because this route to the lesson is hard to use. Use the ‘My E-Books’ square (in the upper right corner) which will take you to a digital version of your math journal. Click the middle box, called Journal 1. Notice in the upper left corner there is a menu of the units and lessons (example: 2-8 for unit 2, lesson 8). Go to the lesson we are on, which is stated on the opening screen of the app and work through the pages on the lesson. Do the math boxes page too (Math boxes are normally homework). You can write on these pages with a digital pen. If you need support, use the Student Resource Book, which is also available in My E-Books to use as a reference. The number in the blue SRB box at the upper right corner of the math journal tells you which pages to go to in the Student Reference Book to get help for this lesson. If you choose to do your work digitally, solve the problems on your screen, take screenshots of each page, and print, or send those to me through email or text. If you prefer to work each problem on paper, then take a screenshot of the page and print it.
