Quarter 1: 

• Math - Addition, Multiplication, Word problems

• Reading - Visualizing, Sequencing, Asking & Answering Questions, Context Clues, Multi-Meaning Words, etc. 

• Writing - Narrative Writing

• Social Studies - Rules & Laws

• Science - Life Science (Life Cycles & Social and Group Behavior)

Quarter 2: 

• Math - Multiplication, Division, Subtraction, Common/Proper Fractions and Word Problems

• Reading - Visualizing, Main Idea & Key Details, Point of View, Asking & Answering Questions, Context Clues, Multi-Meaning Words, etc. We also worked on syllabication using OG (the Orton-Gillingham approach)

• Writing - Informational Writing

• Social Studies - Economics

• Science - Life Science (Inheritance and Variation of Traits)

Quarter 3: 

• Math - Proper/Improper Fractions, Equivalent/Comparing Fractions

• Reading - Rereading, Main Idea & Key Details, Sequencing, Point of View, Asking & Answering Questions, Context Clues, Multi-Meaning Words, etc. 

• Writing - Opinion Writing

• Social Studies - Geography & History

• Science - Life Science (Plant and Animal Extinction)

Attendance and tardy policy

• If students arrive after 7:45 AM they will be marked tardy, but they can walk straight to class.

• If students arrive after 8:00 AM they will be marked tardy, and they need to check-in at the office first.
