Mission Statement
The mission of the Southport High School Library is to provide free access to a range of materials, books, information, and services to our students and staff of all backgrounds. The SHS Library aspires to bring people together by promoting life-long learning, literacy, research, digital literacy, creativity, and cultural expression and inspiring students to locate, appreciate, share, and construct new knowledge. We strive to be a significant part of the SHS community and empower all students to inquire, explore, collaborate, engage, and create. Our motto is the following: SHS LMC: Come As You Are.

Library Guidelines for Student Patrons
We would love to have you join us in the library. However, we are often very busy hosting multiple classes at a time for checkouts and instruction. So, it is important that you follow procedures to make sure that we can accommodate you.
