Perry Panthers grow with purpose, pride, and the pursuit of excellence.
The Ohio Department of Education & Workforce defines students in the process of acquiring the English Language as learners whose native or home language is other than English and whose difficulties in listening, speaking, reading &/or writing in English may impact their academic success in classrooms where English is the mode of instruction.
Perry recognizes and honors the full linguistic repertoire of our multilingual students. We aim to accelerate the development of English language skills and academics by providing evidence-based instruction taught by highly qualified educators who participate in ongoing professional learning. All classroom content teachers are expected to provide appropriate scaffolds and supports based on the students’ level of proficiency, the English Language Proficiency Standards, and content & academic needs of the students.
