Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered through the College Board and Perry High School.  They are considered the highest level of course we offer in that particular subject area. Here at Perry High school we offer AP courses in 13 different areas. Those are listed below.

AP courses follow a national curriculum, as well have a test you take each year in May which will determine if you earn college credit for that course.  Tests are scored on a 1-5 scale, with most schools awarding some level of college credit for scores of three or higher.

AP tests carry a fee of $97.00 and will be due by mid November of the year the course is being taken. That Fee can vary from year to year. If a student is on free or reduced lunch they can see their counselor about arranging a waiver for that fee.
