I have been teaching at Perrydale for 28 years, in both 4th, 5th, and middle school grades. I have 4 children, all of whom have attended Perrydale, 2 out of college, 2 in college. Seven years ago we hosted an exchange student from Norway, which was an incredible experience.
I love to watch and play basketball, sing, and read a variety of genres of books. I also like to garden, and play a variety of old video games. Five years ago, my wife and I started kayaking in lakes and rivers around Western Oregon. I even have a blog where I write about our adventures. We also hike at least once a month.
I met my wife of 31 years in the Oregon Marching Band, where I played the mellophone (french horn for marching) and my wife played the saxophone. We have 1 dog, a terrier mix.
Here is a blog where I write limericks, on a variety of topics.
