Brief introduction to collaborative working on the internet

When running a collaborative project where people are not based in the same location technology can be very helpful. For our current purposes the below describes what we use and which functions it fulfills. The below matrix (sourced from Wikipedia) can help us understand the different spaces technologies can offer us.

Currently, in the CoLab we are using tools for these purposes: Messaging, Online Meetings, Project Management, Proposals and decision making, file storage, and office applications.
