Below that will be an "Add [student’s name]" option. Selecting the option with the class name will import from the School Directory, selecting the "Add [student’s name]" option will add the student as new. If you're connected to a school, students who are already in your School Directory should auto-populate as you enter the first few letters of their name.
To finish, you can invite families to join your class or create customized skills!
There are two ways you can invite parents to ClassDojo:
A. Print Parent Invitation Codes
B. Invite Parents via Email
Open your class
Click on "Invite parents"
Find the student whose parent you would like to invite, add the parent's email address, and push the blue "Invite" button.
Once you’ve sent the invite, parents will get an email from us with a link to accept your invitation. From there, they will create an account or sign into their existing account to connect to you.
Sharing a class allows you to give another teacher access to your class so they can award students in that class points, message parents, post to the class story, and more. Common uses for sharing include team teaching, substitute teachers, and classes that travel together (i.e. for math or music). All reports will reflect which teacher gave what points, and each sharing teacher gets their own private messaging channel to connected parents. Please note, only the owner of a class can share the class.
For Successful Sharing:
-Double check that you're inviting the same email address your colleague used to register with us.
-Make sure that your colleague knows to accept the share via the website. They cannot accept via the app at this time.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to get set up:
1. Log into the website
2. Find the class you want to share and click the gear icon in the top right corner of the class tile
3. Select "Add co-teachers"
4. Type the email of the teacher you want to share with, or find their name in the verified teacher list below the entry line and click "Invite
5. The teacher you invite will receive an email asking them to accept the invite by clicking on the "Accept" link, or log into the website and click on the "Accept" button on the class tile that will have appeared on their account dashboard
Note: If your colleague doesn't receive your invitation to share your class, please double-check the sharing screen and confirm that it says "Connection Pending." This means they should see an invitation to share on their ClassDojo dashboard so they can check there instead of use the email. If it says "Invitation Sent," you've entered an email address for your colleague that isn't linked to their ClassDojo account, so instead of receiving an invitation to share your class, they'll receive an invitation to join ClassDojo.
Teachers connected to your class will be able to:
Give points under their name
View student reports
Reset point bubbles
Use ClassDojo Messaging with all connected parents
Add, edit, and delete students
Teachers connected to your class will NOT be able to:
Send ClassDojo Messages under your name
Connect other teachers to your class
Class Story is our class-wide bulletin board. Class Story can be seen by all connected parents in the class, but not by the whole school. This is a great place to post class news, images from class events or projects, or post reminders that are relevant to your parents only.

Open your class
Click on the “Messages” tab

ClassDojo Portfolios is a 100% free, digital student portfolio that allows students to share classwork with their teachers and family! Students can add to their portfolio using Chromebooks, laptops, and iOS/Android devices (coming soon: Kindle Fires). Teachers can view and approve student work on Portfolios using any device!
Students create and upload photos, videos, drawings, and journal entries through ClassDojo, and can also upload Microsoft Office files, PDFs, and image files from any laptop. Teachers can also use Activities to assign projects directly to student devices to which students can respond. For now, teachers can only create Activities using a computer.
Teachers also must approve any posts before they are shared with parents. Once approved, only parent accounts connected to their student can see those particular posts!
Parents and teachers can leave positive feedback in the form of a like and/or comments.
