"A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold."
Proverbs 22:1
What does it mean to have a good name? Well… Your name is more than just what people call you... It’s how you act and treat others that builds your name. Like being kind, honest, and acting the way God wants you to act. Integrity is doing what's right even when no one else can see. Ultimately, we all fall short of having a good name, but there is one name that rises above them all... the name of Jesus! One day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Philippians 2:10-11)
Let's work hard to have people smile when they hear our names, because they have experienced the Love of Jesus through the way we have treated them.
Written in 2020, in the midst of the COVID 19 global pandemic, released 2024, Ready Let Go encourages listeners to seek God first, trusting Him for the big and small things in life, and letting go of having to have control. This is a life-long lesson in learning to trust Jesus with all our hearts.
"You ran all the way to the finish and with love You crossed the line. You reached across the great divide and built a bridge for all to find.... Cause You know, I can let go of everything!"
This song is all about choosing what is good, truly good... not just settling for the first thing you see. CS Lewis states, "It would seem that our Lord finds our desire not too strong, but too weak. We are far too easily pleased." Sugar Rush is about finding our delight in the Lord, being thirsty for the water that truly satisfies. That which comes from knowing and following Jesus. You are what you eat!
Psalm 37: 4-7
4"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil.
Walk in Him is a new song written for my friends at Windsor Church to help memorize Colossians 2:2-6. May you find eternal joy and peace as you walk in Him!
Colossians 2:
3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4)
