An Overview of Danielson

Domain 1

Domain 1 measures your professional planning and preparation for your teaching. As evaluators, we are looking for the depth and level of your preparation for your lessons.

Domain 2

Domain 2 examines the classroom environment. This is the tone, rapport, feeling, look, how students respond in the environment that's been created by you. Some of the things evaluators look for - are the students willing to take risks, do they feel safe in doing so, and do they respect the teacher and their peers.

Domain 3

2019 Using Assessment in Instruction NTO

Domain 3 examines the instruction within the room. This does not need to be just led by the teacher, but that the students are engaged in the learning that is occurring.
