Year 7

Year 7 Overview

Students at Year 7 and 8 undertake a set curriculum. Students will still learn English, HASS and a Language, but instead of studying each separately they will be merged together. This will allow for more powerful learning through purposeful connections and real world experiences.

Year 7 and 8 programs address learning outcomes in line with the Australian Curriculum. 

All students study a full year (2 semesters) of:

• Global Perspectives (English/HASS)

• How The World Works (Maths/Science)

• Health and Physical Education

All students undertake tasters of the elective subject offerings at Penola High over the year:

• Art

• Agriculture

• Digital Technology

• Japanese

• Home economics

• Design and Technology
