Hi! My name is Laura McCracken and this is my first year as the sponsor of CAP. I am so excited to be a part of such an amazing club!
I attended Hempfield Area High School, and I joined what we called Interact Club there. Similar to CAP here at PTHS, it helped me discover my passion for community service. I have loved finding ways to give back to the community and stay involved ever since then. I remember attending events such as You’ve Got a Friend Day when I was in school!
I then went on to graduate from Saint Vincent College and now teach Chemistry and Biology at PTHS.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running and spending time with my dog, Pretzel!
I am truly excited to be a part of this program and incredibly grateful to all of the officers of the club for their dedication and hard work in making opportunities like this possible. I hope that CAP always helps you realize the words you use and actions you take can change someone’s life- you have all positively changed and impacted my life so much over the past year!!
