DUE DATE Thursday, April 16th.
Every student has worked very hard to develop a business plan that includes a product/service created to solve a real life problem or fulfill a need. Now the fun begins! It’s time to share your well thought out ideas with the class (and their families!)! Ideally we would be sharing ideas in class, but we will do our best to share using Google Classroom.
Step 1: Complete the How Will You Share Your Pitch? Form in Google Classroom.
Step 2: Post your video or slideshow in Google Classroom by Thursday, April 16th
Directions for posting videos and slideshows:
Go to Google Classroom
Click on Classwork Tab
Go to Shark Tank
Click on Final Pitch Presentations
If you are NOT submitting a video or slideshow, you can still share your idea by complete this Google Form: Shark Tank Pitch
Step 3: Participate in the VIRTUAL Shark Tank!
Beginning Monday, April 20th.
We will post student pitches in Google Classroom beginning Monday, April 20th (additional information and details to follow). For each of the Shark Tank products or services you will decide if you would invest or not. Remember to keep in mind the audience the person was targeting to, and if you think that audience would buy it or not. Also, remember, you personally might not be the audience marketed to, but will the product/service sell to their audience? This is a great opportunity to get your entire family involved!
Here is a list of products/services created by each student (grades 3-6):
Please continue to record your stock prices at least once a week if possible since the stock market has been very active. You may do more if you like - even each day! You will be using all of the data points you have been recording to create a line graph to show the change in your portfolio valuation - did you make money or lose money?
Remember - our starting point was November 2019. As you record your stock prices for each week, you can see if your stock values are UP (increasing) or DOWN (decreasing) from the previous week (or the previous time you recorded stock prices), but the ultimate comparison is from the start at the point of initial investment.
Reminders for when you are recording your stock prices:
Change the date on the TAB at the bottom of the spreadsheet you are on to the current date
You are only updating TODAY’S PRICE, the other information will be calculated for you because the formulas are in the cells.
DO NOT change or enter data in any of the other cells.
If you are having trouble, or accidentally erased a formula in a cell, please email me and I will correct it for you (Mr. Sellers - steven.sellers@pennmanor.net ).
Beginning Monday, May 11th, you will be taking each of your data points (each time you recorded your stock prices) and creating a line graph. The line graph you create will:
Show change in price for each stock in your portfolio
Show change in price in your overall stock portfolio value
We will have explicit directions and a video to help you through the process of creating your graph. Once you have created the graph you will be able to observe the change in stock movement over the 6 month time period. There will be reflection questions to address that reflect your portfolio’s change in value.
