Attendance

To be marked present, students must log in and complete at least one assignment between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM each school day. Because the window for completion stays open until midnight, attendance is processed the following school day (e.g., Friday’s attendance is updated on Monday). Please note that logging in without submitting work will result in an absence. All excuse notes must be received within three days, to be considered an excused absence. Notes can be sent via the Sapphire portal, emailed to the virtual learning secretary, amy.ebersole@pennmanor.net, or to the attendance office attendance@pennmanor.net. 

EXCUSED ABSENCES

1. Extreme illness requiring a doctor’s note, Surgery, or Family Emergency. **Daily attendance remains mandatory regardless of illness. To be counted as present, students must submit at least one assignment; full coursework can be paused until you're feeling better.**

UNEXCUSED ABSENCES

Any absence that does not fit into the above categories or is not adequately documented.
