Rocket League Varsity Attends School Board Meeting
3/22/22
By Christian Lapp
On Monday night, our Rocket League Varsity team appeared in front of the Penn Manor School Board, being recognized for their championship.
The team consisting of Tyler Moore, Seth Lyter, Nathan Mintzer, Rocket League Coordinator Scott Hertzog, along with Social Media Manager and Rocket  League shout caster,  Christian Lapp, was recognized by the school board on their PSEL State Championship.

Penn Manor took down Coatesville, 3-0, in the finals, which lead to their championship. Tyler Moore was declared MVP of the series, posting 8 goals throughout the best of 5 match. The team was also presented a Resolution, recognizing the team on the championship. Mr. Herr read it to the team, and Mr. Brown presented to the team.

The team and the school board also joked around about the building of a new arena. "We have our eSports team here and they are here to get their new arena approved." said Penn Manor Supertindent Dr. Mike Leichliter.
Our 2 seniors, Tyler and Seth also talked to the board about their future plans of playing Rocket League."I've had some offers." said Tyler Moore. He said he would take into account all of his offers, and see which option is the best for him to help improve him in the game. "I'm in the CTC program, so I'll most likely go straight into the work force." Seth Lyter stated. He mentioned that he most likely will not be moving into a college team.

Congraluations to these talanted folks, and best of luck in the rest of the season!
