Saegertown wins in four
COCHRANTON — The Saegertown volleyball team took down Cochranton in four sets (25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 25-17) in Tuesday’s non-region game.
Cru Scott had 20 kills for the Panthers and Mason Allio had nine. Jackson Scott recorded 35 assists in the Panthers’ win while Westin Baker had 10 digs.
CJ Shorts recorded 11 kills for Cochranton and Evan King had 10. Zachary Jackson had 38 assists.
Saegertown (2-1) hosts Cambridge Springs on Thursday for a Region 1 game.
Cochranton (1-2) travels to Fort LeBoeuf on Thursday for a Region 1 match.
Boys Volleyball 4-1-26
Meadville volleyball sweeps Saegertown
The Meadville boys volleyball team swept Saegertown (25-17, 25-14,25-18) in a non-region game at the House of Thrills on Tuesday.
Max Decker had 15 kills and seven digs for Meadville, the top-ranked team in the state in Class 2A, according to the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association. Parker Gosnell recorded 12 kills and Evan Peterson had nine. Tate Walker had 43 assists.
For seventh-ranked Saegertown, Cru Scott had seven kills, Jackson Scott had 22 assists and Westin Baker recorded five digs.
Meadville (2-0) hosts McDowell today at 7 p.m. for a non-region game.
Saegertown (2-1) travels to Cochranton on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a non-region game.

Saegertown sweeps Cambridge Springs
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — Cambridge Springs volleyball hosted Saegertown in a region game on Tuesday. The Panthers swept the Blue Devils (25-21, 25-18, 25-21).
Cru Scott and Josh Weaver had 10 kills for the Panthers. Jackson Scott dished out 32 assists.
Isaiah Simpson led the Blue Devils with 12 kills. Micah Clark had six and Jason Baer had three. Rio Alejandro dished out 13 assists, while Noah Holland had six. Perry Hilburn secured seven digs.
Saegertown will play in the Bobcat Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

Saegertown takes down rival Conneaut to begin volleyball season
MEADVILLE TRIBUNE
LINESVILLE — The Saegertown boys volleyball team took down rival Conneaut in the first region game of the season on Tuesday. The Eagles won in four sets (25-18, 25-9, 24-26, 26-24).
For the Panthers, Jackson Scott and Westin Baker dished out 39 assists. Jackson Scott had 25 and Baker had 14. Cru Scott and Josh Weaver scored 12 and 10 kills respectively.
Alex O’Grady led Conneaut with nine kills, Iziaha Lawrence had eight and Nick Garcia had seven. Owen Moore secured 20 assists for the Eagles. Noah Scott, O’Grady and Lawrence defended the net. Scott blocked 12 balls, while O’Grady and Lawrence blocked nine. Robert Gowetski found 13 digs for Conneaut.
The Panthers and Eagles will take part in the Meadville volleyball tournament this Saturday.
