Welcome to Music Class

Hello Stingray family! Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Samantha Rodgers and I am very excited to teach music and direct the chorus at STES. I love teaching elementary music and I am really enjoying teaching here at this great school. I moved from Delaware in 2015, and it has been by far the biggest and best decision I’ve ever made. I graduated from West Chester University in West Chester, PA in 2010 with a degree in Vocal Music Education. I have taught K-8 music in Philadelphia PA, and I've taught middle school and high school chorus in Delaware. In addition, I have music directed community musical theater productions, taught piano and voice lessons, substitute taught all subjects, performed in opera and theater productions, and led worship at my old church in Wilmington, DE. I currently serve on the worship team at my church playing piano. I've been teaching music in schools full time for 12 years. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
