Students mixed Baking Soda and Vinegar to create Sodium Acetate and Carbon Dioxide. The Carbon Dioxide filled up the balloons. Students were able to observe both chemical and physical changes. Students also got to see the Law of Conservation of Mass at work.
Students built their own molecules and compounds out of marshmallow atoms!
Students tested Burgaw Creek water to discover it was healthy enough for fish.
Students played a Project Wild game called Turtle Hurdle. They had to mimic the life stages of a Sea Turtle to see if they would be able to survive against the odds of predators and pollution!
