My name is Mrs. Parkhurst and I'm excited to start my sixth year teaching at Pelham Elementary School. I have been teaching for 15 years now. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade! Third grade is definitely my favorite.
On a more personal note: I live in Dracut, Massachusetts with my husband and our two sons Elliot (age 9) and Dylan (age 7). We also have a very large cat named, Rondo and an active bearded dragon, named Yoshi! We also have a menace black cat named Tito and an escape artist hamster named Chewy. I love spending time with my family. We spend a lot of time outdoors. My family and I take a lot of trips up to the white mountains. Some of our favorite places to visit include, Canobie Lake, Story Land, Santa's Village, Clarks Trading Post, and Whale's Tale! Both Elliot and Dylan also play baseball. I love watching them play. We also love the Red Sox and went to our first Savana Bananas game this year! Your children will hear all sorts of stories about my two boys and all of our adventures!
I look forward to getting to know your children this school year. There will be lots of fun in 3rd grade. Including, awesome read alouds, fun math games, and exciting opportunities to use technology. I absolutely love "The Wild Robot" and I can't wait to share it with your children.
Lastly, communication is very important to me. So please feel free to email me at tparkhurst@pelhamsd.org. I will also be using Class Dojo this school year as a communication tool. The best way to reach me or find out what your child is doing in our class each week is through Class Dojo. At the beginning of the year, I send home parent invites to our classroom and you can privately message me through this app. It is super convenient because you can message me quickly right from your phone.
I look forward to meeting you all soon!
