Mesopotamia

Mesopotamia is a beautiful region. Mesopotamia was an ancient region located in the eastern Mediterranean bounded in the northeast by the Zagros mountains and in the southeast by the Arabian Plateau, corresponding to todays Iraq. Some of the Mesopotamia cities were walled shortly after urbanization which is the process of making an area more urban.Mesopotamia was the jewel of the nile, the cream of the crop. It was the only civilization for hundreds of years. It was so massive that it began to have civilizations inside of itself. These civilizations had all 5 traits too. In Fact they had cities and city states. A city state is a town that is rural and not largely populated that is incorporated into cities, usually for protection. The fertile crescent was between the Tigris and Euphrates river. Mesopotamia actually a means the land between the rivers. It was amazing to see green crops in the middle of the desert. (AF & CB)
