Introduction to Mesopotamia

Mesopotamia was the first civilization and it must have been a great place to live in ancient times! The civilizations, cities, kings, religion, arts, science, warfare, and architecture are what made up Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia is at the intersection of Europe, Asia, and Africa, where Iraq is today. Some nicknames for Mesopotamia are The Fertile Crescent, The Land between The Rivers, and The Cradle Of Civilization. The Mesopotamians Invented writing, the wheel, the chariot, sailboats, time, astronomy, math, astrology, and maps. Mesopotamians were very important to our world today. (JP & EP)
