Ted has a broad base of experience in auctions, negotiation and effective real estate marketing gained while working on behalf of his clients in residential, rural, industrial and commercial real estate.
From a Farming. contract sheep shearing, fencing and bushfelling platform he advanced his farming career in Hamilton, Taumarunui, Waimana and Reporoa, before diversifying into real estate agency in1980.
Not being afraid of hard work he set out as a rural estate agent selling orchards and farms in the Tauranga and Te Puke area. Developing a keen interest in investment property he assisted his clients by using his knowledge and by then, effectiveness, in all aspects of commercial and industrial real estate.
Having Built an understanding and proven ability in procuring speedy results, Ted attracted a career offer from a Auckland Public Company, that was at the time developing commercial property in Auckland, Wellington and Rotorua. He accepted the position on its national development team as its central North Island representative. What followed was a rapid promotion to National Real Estate Development Manager requiring a household shift for him and his family to Auckland, all this right at the outset of the trying markets of the late 1980's.
Ted joined Jenny’s commercial real estate business, Jennifer Peacocke Real Estate in down town Newmarket in 1988 all the while keeping his directorship in a rural real estate company as its Principal. Together Ted and Jenny formed the Peacocke Commercial Real Estate partnership.
Family commitments moved Ted and Jenny back to Mount Maunganui in 1992 where he became the licensee and auctioneer for Peacocke & Payne Limited, Later taking up a Harveys Franchise. All offering an added focus for his clients who wished to divest of residential properties. He enjoyed re-establishing a reputation in rural real estate in which field he is well known in both close and far off parts of New Zealand.
