Participation is critical for our sublocal to remain effective. A large amount of work is needed, mostly on a volunteer basis, to carry out the functions of our union. Member engagement, in many forms and contexts, is necessary. All positions on the Executive Leadership Team and Campus Action Team (plus sub-committees) offer potential to learn and grow. Campus Action Team (CAT)
The Campus Action Team, steered by Lead CAT Katie Hulshizer, endeavors to build structure that moves supermajorities of our members to take the kinds of action necessary to win a transformational contract. CAT supports the executive team, bargaining process, and campus employee community by disseminating information about bargaining, working in solidarity with other campus unions and SEIU sub-local unions across Oregon, and encouraging transparency of labor rights.
