Biketown bike share - Nike's bike share program allows you to rent a bike from many locations around Portland for just 8 cents per minute! You can learn more about how and where to rent a bike here, and from your Fulbright student handbook.

All PSU students receive free annual memberships:

• Includes 90 min. of ride time per day and unlimited trips

• Must be a current student enrolled in classes at PSU with a valid @pdx.edu email address

E-scooters - You can rent a scooter to get around Portland. Some of these are seated scooters, and some are standing. There are some rules about where you can ride and where to park scooters, so be sure to read the websites!

TriMet - Portland has an excellent public transportation system (bus, max, streetcar) that gives you several options for getting around the city. You can learn more about using TriMet here.

Also note that if you need directions, you can choose the "bus" option from Google Maps, and it will tell you exactly how to use TriMet to reach your destination. If you need help, just ask one of the Program Assistants!

Getting out of town - Want to take a longer trip outside of Portland? There are a couple of options for travelling around the region while you're here.

BoltBus - Inexpensive bus trips from Portland to other cities in the region.

Amtrak - Union Station is Portland's train depot, where you can catch a train to Seattle or other cities in the region.
