HGCDC is hiring for multiple positions at both of our locations. Please help spread the word if you know anyone who might be interested in applying for these positions. All of them are full time, fully benefited positions. For the Lead Teacher and Assistant Lead Teacher, we are looking for people who are interested in working with the 0-2 year old age group. We are Portland State University's full-day infant/toddler and preschool program, serving up to 200 children aged four-months to five years.
For more than 40 years, Helen Gordon Child Development Center has been providing quality preschool education for the children of Portland State University’s students, faculty and staff, as well as families in the greater Portland community. Located in a historic building on the corner of southwest 12th Avenue and Market Street, Helen Gordon Center has gained a reputation for its innovative programs, excellent teachers, and creative learning environment. The Center enrolls over 200 children aged 4 months to 5 years. With strong links to PSU’s College of Education, HGCDC is a vibrant learning community for current and future educators, impacting countless schools and programs throughout the region. The Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Hours: 15-20 hours/week (depending on term), actual weekly schedule to be arranged with supervisor
Wage: 15.70 - 17.70 per hour – dependent upon qualifications and experience
Position Summary:

Do you want to be part of supporting an exciting new program that is coordinating, aligning, and re-envisioning Oregon’s state and regional systems of early childhood home visiting programs? If so, we invite you to apply for this student position as part of Oregon’s Home Visiting Systems Coordination Center at Portland State University!
The person in this position will perform a variety of administrative and general office tasks and manage social media accounts in support of Oregon Home Visiting Systems Coordination Center at the Center for Improvement of Child & Family Services. Duties include:
Manage and update social media accounts
Monitor general email
Support organization of CCOHVS Google Drive
Note taking for CCOHVS team meetings and other meetings as needed
Virtual and in-person event and meeting support for Advisory
Groups including scheduling, planning, reimbursements, logistics planning and day-of logistics, distribution of materials
Other administrative tasks as may be requested
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of office support experience.
Experience updating social media accounts or creating communication documents for an organization or program.
To be a PSU Student worker, you must:
Must be currently enrolled as a Portland State University student
Academic Credit Requirements: Must maintain a minimum number of credit hours per term:
Undergraduate students: 6 credit minimum
Graduate students: 5 credit minimum

We are excited to announce that Helen Gordon Child Development Center at Portland State University is hiring for the following positions:
Assistant Teachers to work in either at the Helen Gordon CDC main building and the other to work at the Satellite Site, which is also located on PSU’s campus. These positions are 12-month, 1.0 FTE SEIU represented classified appointments.
Compensation for all of the above positions includes a comprehensive benefits package, including reduced tuition at all seven institutions within the Oregon University System. This benefit can be transferred to one dependent (i.e., spouse, domestic partner, dependent child, or domestic partner's dependent child).
