What are the requirements for membership?
See the "Apply" page.
How much does membership cost?
One time $70 fee for lifetime membership.
How and when can I join?
You can join at any time through psichi.org. Once you submit an application, e-mail a copy of your DARS Report to tbodner@pdx.edu and we will get back to you.
How long does my membership last?
Membership is for your lifetime, and you can switch chapters if you transfer universities.
How often are general body meetings?
Stay tuned for updates!
Is attendance required at meetings?
Attendance is encouraged, but not required. Most officers and members are managing full schedules, and cannot always attend meetings. If this is the case for you, please stay active through reading the Psi Chi newsletter and reaching out with ideas or inquiries to become more involved.
How can I become more involved?
Just ask! There are multiple committees with different roles and we appreciate initiative. Email psichi@pdx.edu with inquiries.
How can I become an officer?
Officers are elected once a year. If you are interested, please let the current president and academic advisor know.
What kind of events do you have?
We host research talks, professional development panels, community building events, fundraisers, socials, and our yearly induction ceremony. See our events page for more information and to see what's coming next!
Can I attend events even if I'm not a member?
Yes! We want to benefit our student body, even if you're not a member of Psi Chi (though if you are a psychology major or minor, we'd love for you to join)!
