Our Mission Statement
The Portland State Events Board's Mission is to enhance student's experiences at PSU through the implementation of cross-campus events that foster community, pride, and tradition.

Howl's Moving Castle Movie Night

Victor's House Party: Backyard Kickback

The Events Board alongside the Parkway North Project team invited students to a welcoming party on the South Park Blocks on park avenue behind Smith Memorial Student Union! Students enjoyed free food and live music, as well as a DJ set.

Dead Week After Dark presents Pitch Slapped. Students are invited to enjoy a live a capella performance from PSU's Green Note, a screening of the movie Pitch Perfect, photo booth, games, and free movie snacks. Hope to see you there!

Our first signature event of Winter Term a Pajama themed Midterm Stress Relief gave students a break from exams! Students enjoyed petting alpacas, crafting, games, music, snacks, and an inflatable obstacle course.

With the return to fall classes PSPB starts the year with our annual event Victor's House Party. With local music acts: Aquarius Sun, Scooty, Donte Thomas, Common Girl, Swiss Army Wife, and Tiny Moving Parts performing in the Smith Ballroom, PSU's campus is alive once again with students, music, games, and of course, food!

PSU students enjoyed competing in video games such as Super Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat X, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III to win gift card prizes in Smith's Parkway North Lounge. The event included: Games, burritos, games, a live piano performance, and chances to win prizes.

Travelling back century, attendees danced, celebrated, and feasted dressed to the nines in the hottest fashions of the 1920's. The Shanghai Woolies filled the ballroom with jazz and Art de Cuisine provided scrumptious breakfast bites.

Kicking off Spring term, Students made new friends, played games, and of course, indulged in Boba from Ding tea PSU!
Midterm Stress Relief

PSU took a break from Midterms to hug llama Beni and alpaca Napoleon from Classy Camelids! Attendee also relieved stress by coloring, practicing yoga, eating pizza, and playing video games!
On zoom, attendees saw a livestream of the furry friends and played Jackbox Games.
Join PSEB
Become an Event Planner
Event Planners create, host, and lead events for the PSU community. Develop leadership, marketing, budgeting, and communication skills alongside other Event Planners and Co-Directors. PSEB hosts four events per term to promote Community, Pride, and Tradition to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Event Planners are recipients of the ELSA scholarship and have a 4-8 hr/week commitment.

Become a Co-Director
Co-Directors work with the PSEB advisor and other Co-Director in coordinating and supervising the work of PSEB Event Planners. They plan and facilitate weekly PSEB meetings and collaborate with and support the work of Event Planners Co-Directors attend and assist with all PSEB events on Wednesdays and Thursdays (times vary between 3 pm and Midnight) and they hold consistently scheduled office hours each week. Hourly paid position with a 15-20 hr/week commitment.

Interested in helping out at our events? Become a volunteer! Volunteers support the Board by helping with set-up, event roles and responsibilities, and takedown during our events. Help with one or more events to promote Community, Pride, and Tradition for our PSU community!
